EyeSight

Definition: EyeSight is an augmented reality technology from Apple that allows users to integrate virtual content into their physical environment and interact with it using AR glasses or an AR headset.

This feature enhances social interaction by making the device transparent when someone approaches the user, allowing the user to see the person while the user's eyes are shown on the external display. This ensures that natural eye contact and facial expressions are maintained even when users are in a virtual environment.

EyeSight

Visual cues

When the wearer is focused on an application or other digital content, EyeSight provides visual cues to others about what the user is looking at.

Social presence

EyeSight projects a virtual version of the wearer's face, called a persona, onto the Vision Pro display, using advanced AI models to reproduce the wearer's facial expressions and movements.

Privacy indicators

EyeSight includes indicators that let others know when users are taking photos or videos to maintain transparency and trust in social settings.

This feature is part of Apple's commitment to combining advanced technology with human design to make digital interactions more natural and less isolating.
